Responsibilities

The Frontend Developer will report to the Technical Lead and the Managing Director, and also work closely with the rest of the creative team. With the support of the Technical Lead they will take ownership and responsibility for the frontend build aspects of development projects they are assigned to.

  • Develop, test and maintain frontend digital experiences on new and existing projects, working collaboratively and transparently with clients, third parties and the in-house creative team.
  • Provide technical insight and support to the team and clients as required, focussing on frontend expertise.
  • Provide accurate time estimates for frontend development tasks and track time spent on projects consistently.
  • Utilise their frontend knowledge and skill set to solve problems and unexpected challenges, independently and as part of a team.
  • Shadow some maintenance and backend tasks, in order to provide basic cover in the absence of the Technical Lead.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new frameworks and build tools that could enhance our frontend offering.


Skills and Requirements

  • HTML5, CSS3, SASS (SCSS)
  • Experience with frontend CSS frameworks (e.g. Tailwind, Bootstrap)
  • Knowledge of frontend build tools such as webpack and package managers such a npm/yarn.
  • JavaScript and JS frameworks (React, Vue)
  • Jamstack experience (Next.js, Nuxt)
  • GIT version control.
  • Basic knowledge of PHP and templating languages such as blade (Laravel / WordPress theme development fundamentals) • Basic dev ops knowledge (SSH, FTP, DNS, deployment services)
  • 2+ years agency experience.
