My client is a leading recycling company based in Barking, East London. Due to continued expansion, they now have a position for an HGV Technician to join their small team at their site. The successful HGV Technician will carry out inspection, diagnostics, service, maintenance and repair of the companys fleet of LGV/HGV vehicles.This is an exciting time to join the company as it embarks on a period of growth. Candidates coming from an ex-military background; REME Vehicle Mechanic or Royal Air Force/RAF General Technician Mechanical are encouraged to apply.HGV Technician Responsibilities:Ensure all company vehicles are kept legal and roadworthy.Conduct thorough inspections to identify any potential problems and safety concerns.Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.Conduct PMIs (Preventative Maintenance Inspections) and associated documentation.Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools (Texa & Eclipse).HGV Technician Requirements:Must hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification to Level 3 as a minimum.Previous experience of working on HGV/LGV vehicles.Able to work well under pressure and on own initiative.Hold Class 1/C+E driving licencedesirable.HGV Technician Benefits:Annual salary is £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.20 days holiday + bank holidays, rising with service.MondayFriday40 hours.Company pension scheme.Free tea/coffee.Employee assistance programme.Company discretionary bonus.Opportunity for progression in the role.Opportunity to undergo further training and gain additional qualifications.NOTEOur client encourages applications from candidates with ex-military backgrounds, REME Vehicle Mechanic or Royal Air Force/RAF General Technician Mechanical.TPBN1_UKTJ
