DescriptionBealings SchoolAddress: Sandy Lane Little Bealings Woodbridge IP13 6LWSalary: 25185 per annum pro rataHours: 22.5 hours per week 7.45am - 9am and 3pm - 6.15pm 38 weeks per yearContract: PermanentReference: 8112Bealings School are looking for an organised motivated and caring Wraparound Care Lead to oversee and deliver before- and after-school provision ensuring every child starts and ends their school day positivelyYour responsibilitiesPlan organise and lead engaging activities (creative physical and social) for childrenSupervise and support children to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all timesManage the day-to-day running of wraparound sessions ensuring smooth routines and effective communication with parents and staffOpening up and closing of school buildings ensuring security of school premisesSupervise and support wraparound care assistants and volunteersPrepare and serve healthy snacks following food hygiene and allergy proceduresMaintain registers administer first aid as necessary and report accidents according to school proceduresEnsure compliance with school policies including safeguarding health and safety and behaviour managementLiaise with the Headteacher and school staff to ensure continuity of care and share relevant information about pupilsPurchase and maintain resources within an agreed budgetPromote a positive inclusive atmosphere where all children feel valued and respected.What you will needEssential:Experience of working with children in a school nursery or childcare settingStrong organisational and leadership skillsAbility to plan and deliver age-appropriate activitiesA caring patient and enthusiastic approachGood communication skills with both children and adultsUnderstanding of safeguarding child protection and health and safety requirements.Reliable and able to work independently.Desirable:Relevant childcare qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Playwork Childcare or equivalent).First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates.Experience leading a team or club for children.Knowledge of Ofsted requirements for wraparound provision.To find out morePlease read the Job Description (Word).Contact Claire Robinson by calling .How to applyPlease read the Application Guidance for School Support Staff (Word) and complete the Application Form for School Support Staff (Word) which you should return to: Closing date: 12pm 31 December 2025.This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
