We are working closely alongside with a local authority in West Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Revenue Manager on a 2.3-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: 340.00- 427.96 per day Summary: The Revenues Manager falls under the Senior Interim (Lot 17) job primary purpose is to ensure the delivery of a high-quality Council Tax and Business Rates (NDR) billing and recovery service in line with customer requirements and regulations. The role focuses on driving cost-efficient digital services and performance. The successful candidate must have strong technical and management skills with essential experience in management including dealing with poor role is Hybrid requiring 2-3 days in the office per week. The role holder is part of the Management Team will deputise for the Assistant Director (AD) of Revenues and Benefits and is responsible for the direct line management of 7 Team Leaders. Responsibilities: Being responsible for the strategic direction of the Council Tax Business Rates and Inspections service. This includes ensuring that legislation strategies policies objectives and procedures are implemented and kept under reviewMonitoring and evaluating service provision to ensure service performance standards are met collection rates are maximised and the team delivers effectively and efficiently. This includes working with Finance colleagues for accurate and timely completion of statutory returnsActing as the Councils main specialist on all Council Tax and Business Rates issues. Ensuring effective administration of Revenue services advising on all legislation and maximising income through growth in the Council Tax base and rating list (by identifying new property)Responsible for a delegated budget managing resources efficiently and effectively to ensure sufficient financial human and other resources are available.To deputise for the Revenues and Benefits AD and deliver reports to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and elected members as required Essentials: Educated to Degree level or equivalent by experienceIRRV qualified to current Level 7Extensive knowledge of Council Tax and Business Rates legislationUp-to-date knowledge of current best practice in both Council Tax and Business RatesKnowledge of local government policies and procedures Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.You should have right to work in U.KThis role requires Basic DBS Disclaimer: Brackenberry Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
