Job Description:
As our Knitwear Technologist, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and ensuring the highest quality performance of our knitwear products. This role demands expertise in knitwear technology, an encyclopaedic knowledge of stitches and manufacturing techniques, a strong focus on R&D, and a commitment to advancing our impact initiatives throughout the supply chain. You must be highly focused and detail-oriented to maintain the high standards we set for our products.
Key Responsibilities:

- Innovation Drive: Co-spearhead research and development efforts to drive innovation in knitwear, from raw materials to final product, ensuring that our offerings are at the forefront of quality and sustainability.
- Sustainable Practices: Drive sustainability initiatives in sourcing, product engineering, and manufacturing, ensuring that all processes align with our commitment to environmental stewardship.
- Impact Initiatives: Advance our impact initiatives throughout the supply chain, fostering sustainable practices and ethical production methods at every stage.
- Product Development: Collaborate with the Head of Product to develop products that meet the requirements and targets of the range plan and critical path, balancing innovation with practicality.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control: Create, execute, and monitor QC and QA processes along the supply chain to mitigate quality risks and produce products that last a lifetime.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure that all product development decisions are made with the end consumer in mind, delivering knitwear that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
- Technical Expertise: Utilise your passion and encyclopaedic knowledge of stitches and manufacturing techniques to create innovative and high-quality knitwear products.
- Technical Specifications: Ownership of fit meetings and creation and maintenance of technical specifications shared with suppliers. Document and issue fit comments to suppliers in line with the critical path.
- Block Establishment and Grading - Manage size standards, establishing and maintaining fit and size standards for the brand across the supply chain including grading experience. Lead seasonal fit and grading reviews with the wider teams and action feedback where required.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience as a knitwear technologist or in a similar role, preferably within a premium fashion brand.
- Extensive knowledge of knitwear production processes, from raw materials to finished products.
- Strong background in R&D and innovation within the knitwear industry.

- Focused and detail-oriented approach to ensure precision and excellence in every aspect of knitwear production.
- Passion for and comprehensive knowledge of stitches and manufacturing techniques.
- Meticulous approach to testing and quality assurance, with a strong track record of managing QC and QA processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management abilities and experience working to critical deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for sustainable fashion and a commitment to ethical practices.
