Here at Reed we are recruiting a Technical Administrator on an 15-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This role is based in a leading organisation that specialises in manufacturing, distribution, and training related to their products. The successful candidate will work within the Production department, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage stock control using Excel to maintain balanced stock levels.
- Place purchase orders with suppliers and source components to meet production demands.
- Receive incoming goods, conduct tests, and report any inconsistencies to suppliers.
- Maintain bills of materials on Excel and communicate changes to the purchasing department.
- Collaborate with production, conformity, and quality teams to keep work instructions up to date.
- Liaise with external maintenance providers to ensure faults are corrected and recorded.
- Perform visual inspections of products and prepare them for dispatch.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the needs of the business.
- Previous experience in a similar administrative role.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to assist across departments.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- A collaborative outlook and the ability to work well within a team.
