As a result our people get to work on some of the most exciting projects in the world. We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our integrated Project Management (PJM) team in Edinburgh. Working within our legacy CBRE PJM team the Project Manager will work on fast moving projects across various sectors for both occupiers and investors in the commercial market.Objective of the role To lead Project Management commissions taking responsibility for end to end service delivery often with respect to large or complex projects.To act as the key day to day client interface ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.The Project Manager will handle commissions of varying scale and value; depending upon the complexity of the project etc. the normal would be up to 10m in value. Project management to include:Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the clients overall objectivesLeading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project including time cost technical and performance parametersPlanning for and the ongoing management of quality safety health and environment issuesEstablishing effective project governance processes and systems to be utilized throughout projectProject planning including ensuring the production of the detailed project planAdvising upon the procurement of resourcesLeading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project teamMonitoring and applying performance management techniques including the use of KPIs to improve project performanceManaging the change control processMonitoring and advising upon project financesManaging the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communicationsEnsuring the production of formal project progress and other reportsTaking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stagesMarketing and business development to include:Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clientsIdentifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunitiesWorking with Associate Directors and Directors to construct bids for new workParticipating in formal client pitches with Associate Directors and DirectorsEnsuring that project case study photograph and project CV files are kept up to dateIdentifying and acting upon opportunities to improve project management products and servicesInternal management accountabilities to include:Staff management (where appropriate) Management of direct reports including undertaking new hire interviews and performance reviews.Knowledge management Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each project is input into the Turner & Townsend internal databaseFinancial management Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilising Turner & Townsend systems in order to monitor a projects financial statusProcess improvement Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes Qualifications : Skills & Experience Degree qualified in relevant discipline.Proven experience managing Real Estate projects ideally in a consultancy environment. Experience in managing thedelivery ofall stages of construction projectsfrom early design / planning through to handover / occupation. Strong communicator required with ability to manage all disciplines including H&S quality planning & productivity design management & coordination contract management & administration commercial management and project governance.  Additional Information : Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
