SEN Teaching Assistant Autism Support Hackney

A vibrant primary school in Hackney is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for students with autism helping them thrive in a supportive learning environment.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type: Fulltime Permanent
Location: Hackney London

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for students with autism.
  • Assist in creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support social emotional and academic development.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to adapt lessons to meet individual needs.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with autism or other SEN.
  • A calm empathetic and patient approach.
  • DBS check required.
