You’ll bring Food Technology to life in a way that builds independence, resilience, and pride, while ensuring lessons are accessible, differentiated, and safe for learners with a wide range of additional needs.You’ll play an important role in creating a calm, purposeful, and nurturing learning environment, supporting not just academic progress but emotional wellbeing too. Flexibility is key, as you’ll also provide cover when required and support learning across the wider curriculum.Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning and delivering innovative, high-quality Food Technology lessonsLeading the effective delivery of Food Technology across KS3 and KS4Differentiating learning to meet the needs of pupils with diverse and complex needsCreating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environmentSupporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal developmentProviding cover for absent teachers or tutors when requiredContributing positively to the wider life and culture of the schoolWhat we're looking forYou’ll be someone who is calm, resilient, and passionate about helping young people succeed. Ideally, you will bring:Experience working with young people, ideally within an SEN settingA background in Food Technology, catering, or a related disciplineExperience supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviourA willingness to use safety interventions, including physical restraint, following appropriate trainingA belief in relationship-led practice and educating the whole childAt Fieldstone, you’ll be part of a team that truly believes in second chances, celebrates progress in all its forms, and supports staff to grow alongside pupils.
