You will be working in a broad remit across operational & strategic leadership, business development, line management and project delivery. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our MEP technical offering, driving growth and delivering high quality performance on many of the UK’s key infrastructure programmes. Your key responsibilities will be:    Strategic & Operational LeadershipDefine and implement strategies for the growth of the Infrastructure MEP discipline, aligning with business objectives and market opportunities.Collaborate with global hubs and multidisciplinary teams to enhance technical capabilities and deliver innovative solutions.Support the Head of Discipline in setting goals and facilitating the rapid expansion across transportation, energy, water, and renewables sectors.Business DevelopmentForge and maintain constructive client relationships, acting as a trusted consultant and primary representative.Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to bids, tenders, and work-winning strategies.Promote our expertise in MEP design and delivery to enhance market presence and secure major infrastructure projects.Project LeadershipOversee the delivery of complex MEP design projects from feasibility through detailed design and site supervision, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and regulations.Guide technical approaches to solve challenging engineering problems, introducing innovative and sustainable solutions.Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, promoting continuous improvement and digital ways of working.People & Team DevelopmentLine manage and mentor a growing team of engineers, supporting professional development and chartership.Encourage a culture of collaboration and productivity, inspiring teams to perform at their best.Identify skills gaps and implement development plans to enhance capability across the discipline. Your skills. Attracting and nurturing a diverse group of high-potential team members is at the top of your agenda, as is creating an inclusive, caring and trusting culture in your team.  On top of that, you’ll :  Be a Chartered Engineer or have an equivalent professional qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Project Management.Have extensive experience in major infrastructure projects with significant MEP components, ideally within a consultancy environment.Demonstrate significant ability in:Leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex design projects.Strategic business growth and operational leadership.Be experienced in Work-winning and client relationship management.Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and inspire teams.Have familiarity with BIM implementation and digital engineering practices.Show willingness to travel as required for project needs.  A place to work and so much more.  At COWI, we work together with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world.
