Senior Structural EngineerBirmingham outskirts£55k-£65k plus benefitsOur client is looking for a senior structural engineer to join their team and take on interesting projects from start to completion. They have many longstanding clients and are seeking someone who is very well versed in the competitive world of structural engineering. You will be directly involved in small to medium sized projects up to £25M in value and you will have previous experience at this level.The role:Ability to manage your own projects, from conception to completionProduce calculations for all structural materials steel, concrete, masonry and timber etcPrepare drawings using AutocadCarry out site visits and select appropriate construction materialsProviding technical advice to clients and colleaguesLiaising with relevant professions as part of the design teamMonitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractorsPreparing condition reports of existing structures About you:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringMinimum of 10 years' relevant work experience in a similar role in a UK companyMIStructE or MICE (or working towards)Proficient using AutoCAD. Experience of design software such as Tekla TEDDS, Tekla Building Designer, Fastrak Portal or similarExperience designing steelwork and reinforced concreteGood written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing reportsAbility to work on your own to deliver a project, from start to completion Alongside the salary and bonus scheme in place, our client is also offering pension scheme, career progression opportunities to Director level, and scope for 1 day a week hybrid working.If you are interested in this role, please send your CV to Graham Ventham at Conrad Consulting
