Job Title: Showroom Manager & Head of Furniture
About the Company
My client is a leading suppliers of high-end lighting and furniture. We have a network of retail stores, a successful ecommerce business and a strong contract team. Our beautiful Bermondsey showroom showcases the very best lighting and furniture.
About the Role
We are looking for a full-time Showroom Manager (Monday to Friday) to join their team in Bermondsey. This on-site role will be responsible for driving sales and providing excellent customer service for retail and contract customers with furniture, lighting and accessories.
Responsibilities
- Strong sales focus. Ability to convert enquiries and leads that come into the showroom and also reach out to a network of retail and trade customers to generate new business.
- Responsible for the daily operations, managing the showroom inventory, liaising with vendors and handling customer inquiries and leads.
- Strong focus on making the showroom space work. Building strong relationships with suppliers, creating a beautiful environment showcasing the very best contemporary design.
- Be able to create a sales strategy to enable furniture sales growth.
- Manage exclusive representation of brands within a showroom set up.
- Hosting 3-5 event evenings per year to launch new products/brands etc.
- To attend design shows as required.
- Customer service, looking after customers, keeping them up to date etc.
Qualifications
Must haves
- Must have proven sales driven track record of selling high end furniture and lighting. 5-8 yrs minimum.
- Established contacts within the industry and enjoy networking and being visible to build and close sales leads.
- Outstanding customer service skills, high level of attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- An interest (obsession?) with design, furniture and lighting. Passion is essential.
