Whilst each Engineer will have a trade "bias", the Electrical Engineer will be expected to undertake general building duties outside of this "bias" as necessary, taking into consideration task competency.

Additionally, you will reduce our dependency on agency labour utilised on our Resident Contracts, the position will be the first line for resident site cover for periods of sickness and holidays. As an Engineer, this will form a major part of the standard duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned and reactive building maintenance whether specialised or general as directed and scheduled by the Engineering Helpdesk/Coordinator/Supervisor
  • Installation works associated with building maintenance again whether general or in line with specialist bias
  • Completion of maintenance and reactive job sheets, as issued and scheduled by the Engineering Helpdesk/Coordinator/Supervisor
  • Weekly timesheet and service report sheet submission to the Engineering Helpdesk/Coordinator/Supervisor for all PPM and reactive works done during a given period
  • General building services works as necessary on any site designated by the Engineering Helpdesk/Coordinator/Supervisor
  • Completion of all log books and service report sheets as required per site
  • Reporting of any defects found during maintenance or service attendance
  • Health & safety compliance including appropriate use of Personnel Protective Equipment in carrying out your duties
  • Always wearing the company supplied uniform. Casual clothing of any type is not permitted

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Trade qualification, City & Guilds or recognised apprenticeship, NVQ 2 (6017) or equivalent
  • 18th Edition
  • Proven track record showing competency around LV/HV Electrical Systems
  • Experience of building services, with operation of PPM systems
  • Experience on electrical installations
  • L8 awareness on Hot & Cold water systems
