Department Manager – Menswear | London FlagshipWe are seeking an exceptional Department Manager to lead the Menswear division within a prestigious London flagship store. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced retail leader with a passion for luxury menswear, client service excellence, and team development to take ownership of a high-profile department within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.As Department Manager, you will act as a brand ambassador on the shop floor, setting the standard for service, sales performance, and operational excellence. You will inspire, develop and lead your team while cultivating strong relationships with an international and VIP client base. This role requires a confident leader who thrives in a client-centric, results-driven environment and understands the expectations of a premium retail customer.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, inspire and develop a high-performing menswear team through daily coaching, structured training, and clear performance management.Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, weekly team briefings, and performance reviews to ensure continuous growth and engagement.Foster a positive, inclusive and high-energy team culture that reflects excellence on the shop floor at all times.Oversee staff scheduling, payroll coordination and HR administration in line with operational needs and company guidelines.Sales Performance & Client ExperiencePersonally drive sales by engaging with clients, building genuine long-term relationships and delivering an elevated, personalised service journey.Build and maintain an extensive client book, with a strong focus on CRM strategy, client outreach, and repeat business.Manage VIP appointments, private shopping sessions and exclusive client events to enhance loyalty and revenue.Lead by example in achieving and exceeding individual and department KPIs including sales, ATV, UPT, conversion and retention.Visual Merchandising & Product StrategyWork closely with the visual team to ensure the department reflects brand identity, seasonal direction and commercial performance.Analyse sales data, stock levels and bestsellers to optimise merchandising and maximise sell-through.Manage stock intake, replenishment, transfers and end-of-season processes with a commercial yet detail-driven approach.Operations & Business ExcellenceOversee daily department operations, ensuring all standards of service, compliance and presentation are consistently met.Monitor and analyse performance reports, setting clear action plans to continuously improve results.Ensure all policies and procedures are followed including cash handling, stock control, health & safety, and loss prevention.About YouA proven retail leader with demonstrable experience in menswear and luxury or premium retail environments.A natural people leader who motivates through empathy, high standards and commercial acumen.Highly client-focused with strong sales instincts and a genuine passion for building lasting customer relationships.Confident, articulate and professional with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Commercially driven with a strong understanding of KPIs, merchandising, and performance management.Organised, resilient and adaptable, thriving under pressure in a fast-paced flagship environment.What You’ll ReceiveCompetitive base salary with an uncapped commission and bonus structure.Generous employee discount on premium menswear products.Ongoing training and career development within a luxury retail environment.The opportunity to work in one of London’s most prestigious flagship locations.A supportive leadership structure and a culture that values excellence, creativity and ambition.
