SEN English Teacher Location: Preston Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm Pay: £140 - £185 Start Date: December We are looking for qualified and enthusiastic English Teacher for a brilliant independent SEMH provision in Preston. This provision supports a mixture of primary and secondary aged students that possess complex emotional and behavioural needs. These students are disengaged from mainstream education, and some come from traumatic and chaotic home lives. You will be teaching English up to KS4, however some of the students operate at a lower attainment level than is expected of their age. Your Role as a Teacher As a Teacher, you will: Lead and teach small classes of students Manage the emotional, educational and behavioural needs of students Adapt work and learning to suit the needs of each pupil Encourage positive participation, focus and confidence in lessons Develop a robust curriculum to support learners Contribute to a calm, safe and inclusive school environment We're Looking For Fully qualified (QTS) teacher Experience in teaching students with additional needs A proactive and patient approach Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff Good communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing Robust and comfortable with challenging behaviour What the School Can Offer A supportive and welcoming staff ...
