Our client is an SME housebuilder looking to onboard an ambitious Planner to oversee and coordinate the planning activities of new-build projects from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate will be able to ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations and planning policies and work closely with various stakeholders to achieve timely and successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement planning strategies for new build projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and local regulations.
  • Liaise with local authorities, planning committees, and other regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permissions and approvals.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to planning laws and environmental guidelines.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the planning process.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications, including detailed plans, reports, and environmental assessments.
  • Prepare and manage budgets related to planning activities, monitoring expenditures to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
  • Research the planning history of development sites and provide appropriate advice.
  • Identify landowners of potential development sites and liaise with landowners/agents throughout the negotiation and acquisition process to ensure successful completion.
  • Negotiation of options with landowners and agents.
