Supplier Technologist

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Supplier Technologist team at Greggs where you’ll play a key role in managing and approving our third-party food suppliers.As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for the approval, monitoring and management of suppliers providing food products and ingredients, as well as storage and distribution sites. Applications from outside of the North East may be consideredWhat you'll doMaintain and utilise performance KPI reporting and RAG rating to drive continual improvement with the 3rd party supply baseComplete supplier audits (based on risk assessment) in line with Greggs manufacturing standard and other appropriate Greggs standardsProactively engage with the Commercial teams to support the development of finished products and selection of new suppliers by ensuring new supplier processes are in placeEnsure internal systems are maintained to ensure compliance to the Greggs requirements for 3rd party suppliers as well as BRCGS standard for food safety and/or storage and distribution standardLead liaisons on food safety and related incidents that occur with the 3rd party supply chain specific to your area of responsibility whilst ensuring strong communication and escalation to senior teams, as appropriateAbout youYou will fit right into this role if you:Food science (or similar) degree or equivalentLead auditor trained, Level 4 Food hygiene trained and HACCP level 3 trainedExperience managing food safety audit programmesExperience managing food safety, integrity and legality of food products and/or understanding of processes and risks associated with – ingredient and product ranges relevant to Greggs.Risk assessment, prioritisation and decision making skillsProven experience of leadership, decision making and report writingA result focused approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence othersEnjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal and celebrating results togetherAre supportive of an inclusive culture - recognising and valuing that difference is goodWant to develop and are ready to work alongside some great people and have lots of fun on your Greggs journeyAbout GreggsHere at Greggs, we love what we do, and we have fun What makes Greggs so special is our culture – the way we are, the way we behave and the way we support each other.
