As the Yard Operative and Van Driver, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations within the yard.    Yard Operations: Receive incoming goods. Check against delivery notes and organise them within the yard. Ensure all goods are stored safely and securely. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks and reconciliation. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from vehicles safely. Organise goods in the yard for efficient access and retrieval. Assist with packing and preparing orders for dispatch as needed. Van Driving: Drive company vans to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner, following planned routes and schedules. Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on time, obtaining necessary signatures and documentation as required. Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while driving, maintaining a clean driving record. Skills: Valid category B driver's license. A Live and Valid Forklift License (essential) Up to date forklift training certificate Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling goods and documentation. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects safely. Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance tasks is an advantage
