We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Managing Director to join the leadership team and drive our commercial initiatives.
Job Summary:The role holder is the accountable commercial lead of a business unit and responsible for strategic planning, financial management, and leading cross-functional teams to execute the commercial strategy and objectives of the business unit. The role holder is accountable for the overall EBITDA delivery and long-term growth strategy of the business unit. Responsibilities include, but are not exclusive to, the design and embedding of the growth strategy for the business unit, and day-to-day management oversight of end-to-end P&L delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Lead market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and the NHS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and drive sales initiatives.
- Oversee marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and customer needs.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights to optimise growth.
- Manage and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards in all commercial activities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial leadership roles within the healthcare industry.
- Experience working with the NHS and managing NHS contracts.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, regulations, and payer dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyse complex data and make informed strategic decisions.
- Having experience in Gastroenterology would be ideal but not essential.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
