Avant Consult Ltd: Automotive DivisionJob Title: Parts Programme & Automotive SupportReports To: Automotive Account DirectorLocation: Full-time position head office/hybrid (Huddersfield)Position OverviewThe Parts Programme & Automotive Support role is a dynamic position combining programme management operations support and business administration for the Avant Automotive division. The primary focus is managing automotive parts programmes with additional responsibilities supporting broader automotive programme operations and administration.This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders including bodyshops trade suppliers and clients. While parts programme management is the priority focus the role also provides essential support across other automotive programmes to ensure operational excellence.The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:1. Parts Programme Management (Primary Focus - 60%)Oversee automotive parts programmes ensuring set targets are met and initiatives run efficientlyIdentify vehicles requiring parts support and coordinate effectively with UK bodyshopsProvide additional parts support to bodyshops aiming to optimise programme outcomesAssist bodyshops with accurate estimates for vehicle repairsCommunicate effectively with programme teams to ensure efficient case handlingActively participate in the verification of parts and final decision-making processesDrive engagement with trade suppliers and lead programme-related meetingsMaintain accurate records and documentation for each case handledMonitor programme performance and identify areas for improvementAdapt to supporting multiple parts programmes as the business evolves2. Automotive Programme Support (40%)Produce complex reports using advanced MS Excel functions and market-leading bespoke systemsDevelop and produce client meeting packs board papers and executive summary documents to a high standardCreate PowerPoint presentations on behalf of Automotive team members and senior managementSupport with and produce professional templates for tender responses and new business pitchesExtensive data management and analysis in conjunction with the analytics team to identify areas of improvement and drive programme performanceProgramme administration support including onboarding mapping and franchising coordinationBodyshop and Network market penetration analysisHelpdesk and inbox management providing ad hoc support to VM networksTaking typing and distributing minutes as requiredProject Management responsibilities ensuring completion to tight deadlinesAssist with ad hoc tasks and provide operational support to the Automotive Account Director as neededAccountabilitiesIndividual performance is measured against the following key areas:Achieving and maintaining targets for automotive parts programmesEnsuring efficient case handling and strong relationships with bodyshops and trade suppliersDelivering high-quality reports presentations and documentation to support automotive programmesManaging multiple priorities effectively and meeting strict deadlinesDemonstrating effective teamwork across departments and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersIdentifying and resolving challenges promptly and proactively seeking opportunities for improvement in processes and systemsDelivering excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholdersWorking to Client standards and satisfying the terms agreed with the ClientMinimum RequirementsProven experience in automotive parts sales vehicle damage assessment or automotive programme supportKnowledge of automotive repair processes especially related to BMW/MINI vehicles (highly desirable)Extensive administration and business operations support experienceAdvanced Excel and analytical skills with the ability to find solutions with dataDesktop Publishing / Document Production experience essentialStrong analytical skills to assess vehicle damage repair costs and programme performanceExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work collaboratively with bodyshops suppliers and internal teamsProficiency in using specialized software and technology for vehicle assessmentHigh attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keepingMotivated and wants to develop both personally and professionallyThe ability to work autonomouslyConfident and focusedEducated to degree level or equivalent (preferred but not essential)Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesA can-do attitudeExcellent team workerHighly effective communicator both face-to-face and on the phoneHigh standard of grammar and document productionGood eye for detail and ability to interpret statistics and evaluate resultsExcellent numeracy skillsExcellent IT skills (Minimum Word / Excel / PowerPoint)Ability to think analytically and strategicallyAbility to deliver agreed targets to strict deadlinesClear communicator with excellent stakeholder management skillsAble to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical audiencesProven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneouslyStrong analytical and decision-making skills with a proactive approachAdditional (Desirable)Full UK Driving Licence (not essential)Body repair industry knowledgeAutomotive parts sales knowledgeKnowledge of motor claims managementGeographical Information Systems / Mapping experienceExperience in customer support programme management or similar roleNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
