The Opportunity:
As the Asphalt Assistant Plant Manager youll be at the helm of our operations overseeing the production of highquality asphalt while ensuring excellence in health and safety sustainability and efficiency. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fastpaced environment and is passionate about leading a team toward a sustainable future.
RequirementsYour Role:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee all plant operations ensuring the production of asphalt meets BSI:9001 specifications.
- Conduct and review prestart inspections and maintenance activities ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition.
- Manage plant personnel providing guidance training and support to maintain high operational standards.
- Utilize control systems to optimize fixed plant operations improving efficiency and reducing costs.
Maintenance and Safety Oversight:
- Lead the maintenance teams in proactive monitoring and repair of plant equipment.
- Ensure all safety protocols are rigorously followed fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
- Monitor aggregate stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet production demands.
Operational Efficiency:
- Optimize plant operations to minimize environmental impact and costs.
- Ensure efficient loading and scheduling of materials coordinating with logistics to meet production deadlines.
- Manage data entry and reporting for internal management systems ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Team Development:
- Mentor and develop team members promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Foster an inclusive work environment where every team member is valued and empowered.

What You Bring:
- Proven experience in plant management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Solid understanding of asphalt production processes and plant equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- IT literacy to manage data input reporting and control systems.
