From spare parts and consultancy to full turbine refurbishment, we’re the trusted partner for critical rotating equipment.This role is based at our Netherley facility near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire, a key hub for our turbine operations and customer support.Your Role:As a Fitter, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on repair and overhaul of gas turbines, power turbines, and associated equipment. You’ll work as part of a skilled workshop team, ensuring high standards of engineering, safety, and documentation throughout the build process.Key Responsibilities:Strip, inspect, sub-assemble, and rebuild turbine components.Accurately record critical measurements and report non-conformances.Maintain clean and organised workstations, ensuring tooling and chemicals are stored correctly.Complete all build documentation and submit for review.Support apprentice training and contribute to a culture of safety and quality.Input working hours into company systems and assist with non-conformance reporting.What You’ll Bring:Previous experience in a similar workshop or engineering role.Knowledge of gas turbine repair and refurbishment (advantageous).Experience in fabrication, repair, or construction environments.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Good communication and organisational skills.A team-oriented, adaptable approach.What We Offer You:A competitive salaryPaid overtime opportunities9-day fortnight working pattern (every other Friday off)Annual performance-based bonusPrivate medical insurance33 days of annual leaveAccess to retail and entertainment discounts — including Costco membershipDiscounted personal car leasing for employees, family, and friendsConfidential support via our Employee Assistance ProgrammeOngoing learning and development through Sulzer Learning PathwaysWhy GT Aero and Sulzer?GT Aero Services combines the agility and specialist focus of a dedicated service centre with the global strength and stability of Sulzer.
