We are searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Middleweight Design Engineer for a successful Mechanical Design and Engineering business based in North Devon. This role is offered on a hybrid working basis and therefore you MUST live within a commutable distance of Barnstaple, Appledore, Bideford, Ilfracombe, Great Torrington or South Molton to be considered for the position. Our client is NOT looking currently to interview candidates who are considering relocating to the area. During your probation period you will be required to work in the office at least 4 days per week hence the need to be based near to the office or within a 30-to-45-minute commute. Our ideal candidate will be a second or third jobber looking to take the next step in their design career - you will ideally have a minimum of 3 to 4 years commercial experience. In this role you are going to be responsible for designing specialist packaging solutions used by clients who operate in the Aerospace/Defence sectors transporting and storing high value and critical equipment. On a daily basis you will be using CAD software to design bespoke solutions for your customers. Experience in Creo / Creo 3D / PTC Creo
