Within the Sustainable & Impact Advisory department, you will join the UK and CEEMA team, a team of 6 based in London and Paris, and in charge of supporting the strategic clients of the region (United Kingdom, Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) in their sustainability journey.
Main responsibilities of the team, include (but are not limited to):
• Sustainable Finance & ESG Asset Advisory: structure tailor made green/social/sustainable and sustainability-linked instruments and provide expertise on transition framework to maximize feasibility and bankability of project/asset financing
• ESG Corporate Advisory: build compelling equity and ESG narratives for clients to support investment banking transactions (e.g. M&A, IPO0
• Impact Investment Advisory: structure innovative financing solutions for high impact projects (Impact Based Finance, Natural Capital Solutions and Social Impact Solutions)
Responsibilities of the vie include (but not limited to):
• Analyzing clients' sustainability strategy to assess readiness for sustainable finance
• Supporting the team in the drafting of commercial proposals for our clients
• Contributing to the structuring and execution of label transactions, such as green, social or sustainability-linked loans/bonds, in collaboration with other departments of the bank
• Supporting the team in providing expertise on transition framework and decarbonization costs of specific assets and related financing considerations
• Promoting our ESG Corporate Advisory and Impact Investment Advisory offers and supporting those teams in pitches and mandates for UK and CEEMA clients
• Analyzing impact of new regulations (e.g. EU or local taxonomies) in our commercial offer and contribute to public consultations when relevant
• Developing ESG knowledge in the bank by deep diving on specific sustainability topics and training coverage and business lines teams
• Drafting ESG newsletters to be distributed to the UK and CEEMA Global Banking & Advisory teams

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master's degree from Business/Engineering School or University; preference for a specialization in sustainability or sustainable finance though not a must
• A previous experience in sustainable finance would be appreciated, though not a must; interest for sustainable finance is key
Language skills:
• Fluent in English (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Proactive attitude, solution-oriented and analytical
• Team player
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in UK is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
