Best-in-class propositions within their sub-sectors, with the opportunity for material growth, through internationalisation, product, and channel expansion or buy & build strategies.

Our investment often involves cash out to de-risk founder entrepreneurs as well as growth capital, although every situation is different.
We currently have a stable of 12 businesses that we have invested in, and brands we’re currently backing include Passenger Clothing, Gozney, Stubble & Co and Easy Bathrooms.
Background to the role
Following the successful sale of HomeServe, we are at a step change moment in our own growth journey and building our team (currently 10 people) to materially scale our pace of deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Work within the Investment Team to identify, assess, and oversee transactions and projects from start to finish.
- Oversee parts of the investment process, including valuation and transaction terms, financial and commercial due diligence, and managing the legals alongside Investment Managers and Partners. Maintain and develop relationships with founders, operators, and scale-ups that align with our focus areas.
- Engage in in-depth research, sector analysis, and network expansion.
- Excel in deal sourcing and evaluation with a creative and inquisitive approach.
- Complete high-quality, thoughtful, internal and external presentation documents, specifically as part of our investment review process.
- Develop expertise in specific consumer sectors and think commercially and critically to build investment theses.
- Support and work with our investment partners on the opportunities and challenges they are facing.
- Represent Growth Partner at industry events and within the consumer scale-up community, both online and offline.
- Be prepared for travel (mostly in the UK) to connect with founders, investors, and our Partners.
- Propose innovative productivity improvements to enhance efficiency, leveraging the growing range of AI tools in the investment space.
Profile:
- Graduate from a top-tier university.
- 1-3 years experience in investment banking focusing on the consumer sector.
- Deep interest in consumer brands and what makes them thrive.
- Excellent analytical skills including a mastery of valuation methodologies, financial analysis and forecasting, and use of Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships.
- Empathy, a passion for working collaboratively and a sense of humour.
