Our client is a leading provider of IT Support Solutions within the Education sector. Established for many years they are hugely successful and respected in the sector helping schools achieve their best standards of learning and development through technology. We are now looking IT Support Engineer to join the team. Experienced in 1st and 2nd line IT support we are looking for someone that has experience of working onsite with clients, great communication skills as well as the technical IT support engineer knowledge. The company are superb to work for and provide a great environment and culture with great training and development opportunities.

Main Responsibilities as IT Field Engineer

  • Based from home looking after your portfolio of schools
  • Providing a planned and reactive service to your sites across all of their IT Support needs
  • Installing, maintaining a range of IT software, hardware and accessories including interactive whiteboards and learning tools
  • Maintaining and developing excellent client relationships
  • Handling all technical IT support problems and issues that may arise
  • Devising plans with the client to ensure continuity of IT service and best use of IT budgets
  • Liaising with multiple contacts for different departments across site

Main Skills

  • A background in 1st and 2nd line IT support, ideally with field experience
  • Ideally education sector IT Support experience
  • Possess great communication skills and an ability to build client relationships effectively
  • Technical knowledge of:
  • Windows Server 2008 – 2016
  • Assisting with managing Active Directory environments and using Group Policy in an environment of 30+ devices
  • DNS, DHCP, and the TCP/IP suite
  • WDS, MDT, or other imaging tools (both creating and deploying images)
  • Windows 7 – 10
  • Office 365
  • full driving licence
