Our client, a rapidly expanding SaaS unicorn backed by top-tier growth investors, is seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller. This role is crucial to the financial health and operational success of the company, providing leadership and strategic direction in all aspects of finance.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Leadership:


  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.


Financial Reporting:


  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee the consolidation of group financials and manage the external audit process.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards.


Budgeting & Forecasting:


  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing variance analysis and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.


Cash Flow Management:


  • Manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
  • Optimize working capital and monitor cash balances to meet operational and investment needs.
  • Oversee treasury functions and relationships with banking partners.


Team Leadership & Development:


  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Drive professional development and ensure the team has the necessary skills and expertise.


Systems & Process Improvement:


  • Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to support growth and scalability.
  • Implement best practices and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead finance transformation projects as needed.


Stakeholder Management:


  • Serve as a key point of contact for investors, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to the board of directors and investors.
  • Support fundraising activities and investor relations efforts.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
