Join us and get better with every move.Tremendous opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join our Slough based team taking responsibility for the internal and external reporting of LPUK including oversight of the internal control environment.Initially offered as a 12 Month Fixed Term contract whilst we integrate our two businesses.KeyResponsibilitiesTake ownership of monthly and quarterly reporting and ensure completion as per deadline;Take ownership of the audit reporting process during the audit cycle to ensure completion in a timely manner;Take ownership of the balance sheet rec and general controls process to ensure balance sheet reconciliations and other controls are completed accurately and in a timely manner regularly questioning balances and control outcomes with process owners and raising key areas for the attention of management; andTake ownership of the Statutory Accounts preparation and audit thereof.Desirable Education & Technical AbilityFully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).Degree level in an Accountancy Business or Statistics based subject or experience led equivalent.Strong technical accounting knowledge.Fluent in business English language with excellent written and verbalcommunication skills.Desired PreviousWorkExperienceExperience of working within Audit.Highly numerate with strong attention to detail essentialAbility to think and take initiative with the confidence and initiative to challengeprocesses as required within remit.What We Can OfferCompetitive salary between 55000- 60000Generous contributory pension scheme25 days holiday in addition to bank holidaysVolunteering days to assist in charity workSustainability InitiativesHoliday buy / sell (subject to conditions)Travel Insurance (cost associated)Dental Insurance (cost associated)Flexible working options availableEnhanced parental leaveGenerous Employee Referral Scheme (1000)Cycle2work SchemeEV charging points Car parkingStudies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for an opportunity unless they exactly meet the criteria specified.
