Position: Global Assembly Board Director 

Headquarters Location: Milan, Italy (Global and Regional opportunities available)


Overview:


This is a remote role. As a Global Assembly Board Director, you will be responsible for contributing to the strategic decision-making process, providing guidance and oversight to the executive management team, and ensuring the organisation's long-term success. You will also actively participate in board meetings, review financial reports and performance metrics, and collaborate with other board members to drive growth and impact. 


We have several positions open, specifically for our Global Assembly Board and Regional Chapter Boards, with needs in nonprofit management, environmental advocacy, governance, and fundraising expertise. Our boards are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, representing a multitude of genders, races, and nationalities.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to Impact Climate’s global programs and initiatives.
  • Participate in high-level decision-making, including budget approvals, action plans, and technology adoption.
  • Engage in fundraising and networking activities to support our mission and expand our reach.
  • Attend and contribute to the Annual Meeting of the Global Assembly, a major multi-day conference where key decisions on budgets, plans of action, and program evaluations are made, and featuring discussions with global leaders, experts, and influencers in climate action.
  • Ensure continuous renewal of leadership and fresh perspectives by adhering to term limits and election cycles.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive organizational culture.
  • Review and approve major policies, goals, and strategies.
  • Monitor organizational performance and ensure accountability.
  • Maintain fiduciary responsibility and ensure the financial health of the organization.
  • Actively participate in one or more board committees, contributing to focused oversight and strategic initiatives in specific areas.



Global Assembly Specifics:
