Qualified Dog Groomer

We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and skilled Dog Groomer to join our friendly, dynamic team in our brand new salon in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will possess a love for animals, exceptional grooming skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

You will be responsible for the health and well-being of dogs while delivering high-quality grooming services to our clients. You will play a key role in ensuring a clean, tidy, efficient and relaxed environment.

Duties

• Perform outstanding grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling of various breeds of dogs.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by regularly sanitising tools and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with dog owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
• Manage appointments and scheduling to ensure efficient workflow within the grooming salon.
• Lift and handle dogs of varying sizes, ensuring their safety during the grooming process.

Requirements

• Experience in grooming & styling dogs
• Strong knowledge of animal care practices and behaviour.
• Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and their pets. to perform heavy lifting as required while handling animals safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for animal welfare.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
