AirEx is a rapidly growing construction and climate tech company with a mission to end fuel poverty and combat climate change by providing pioneering, affordable smart home solutions. We have designed and manufactured the world's first smart air brick, which empowers householders and landlords to reduce energy demand while managing air quality in homes. AirEx aims to disrupt the building retrofit market by offering connected home solutions that are both simple to install and simple to use.
Position Overview
AirEx is seeking an exceptional Head of Marketing, responsible for helping drive the company’s commercial goals. This role is both strategic and hands-on with the opportunity to grow in scope as the company expands and will involve close coordination with various internal departments, especially the commercial team, playing a key role in supporting sales and scaling the business. Please note that the focus of the role is primarily account marketing targeting key decision-makers and that this is not a purely digital marketing role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategy and execution of all marketing and communications activities, to help grow our partnerships and customer base in the UK and beyond
- Develop and deliver the overall marketing strategy whilst ensuring that the day-to-day marketing function is able to perform
- B2B Prospecting and Pipeline Building – working closely with the Sales team you will plan and execute activities that will either directly or indirectly help build the sales pipeline and influence deal progress
- Drive the marketing and communication strategy to reach key decision-makers and support quality B2B customer engagement, using campaigns, paid ads, content, PR & events (including trade shows / webinars), working as part of the Commercial team
- Produce and curate content for B2B marketing, including website copy, case studies, social media, partnership proposals, sales materials and client and resident communications
- Oversee our social media accounts, with a focus on the use of LinkedIn for B2B Marketing
- Seek and pursue PR opportunities, writing blogs, press releases & news articles on behalf of the company - spreading the message far and wide in an authentic way, driving brand, reputational and commercial growth.
- Driving the thought leadership activities of the company to reach specific segments in the B2B / Govt sector, to help improve broader market awareness and shape policy
- Support our quarterly investor communications
- Managing marketing expenditure, financial goals and budgets
- Work closely with product and commercial teams to launch new products, from market research to full launch
- Be the guardian of the AirEx brand, including messaging, tone of voice and visual identity both visually and through our communications
- Design capabilities is a plus (even basic usage of Canva helps us get things done quickly)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience of marketing management (including experience in product marketing - ideally B2B tech) with a proven track record of bringing innovative products to market
- Strong experience in internal and external communications.
- Experience in developing and monitoring the performance of marketing strategies, especially in B2B settings
- Ability to create, plan and execute across a broad suite of activities including events (trade shows / webinars), social media, PR, direct marketing, advertising and digital
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills (including excellent copywriting skills), able to translate technical propositions into inspiring messages
- Experience of managing marketing agencies and other freelancers/contractors
- You’re entrepreneurial and excited about having a big impact at a small company and creative in generating high impact within limited budgets
- You’re a generalist who can push the boundaries and test a range of channels to engage companies (e.g. social media, email, content, events, offline)
- You are able to establish marketing planning frameworks (such as briefing templates) and ways of working with internal colleagues and external partners
- You are a natural relationship builder, able to quickly build rapport with our stakeholders
- Experience of construction or retrofit sectors would be valuable but not essential
