We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a leading company within Ipswich who are looking for a Machinery Safety Assessor to join their growing business.

You will be responsible for attending sites to complete machinery safety assessments in the UK and Europe in line with the companies procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compiling customer reports and completing due diligence checks.
  • Generating Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Ensuring Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 is adhered to at all times both in the office and on site.
  • Actively using the companies project management system.
  • Maintaining the ISO 9001 Quality System by completing travel requests forms, expenses form, submitting overtime and travel allowance requests.

Previous Skills & Experience:

Entry Level Position:

  • Full clean driving licence and own transport.
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft applications.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Keen to learn new skills.

Experienced Level Position:

  • All the above.
  • Previous experience in a Health and Safety/Assessor or Auditor Type role.
  • Educated to a minimum equivalent Degree level.
  • Industry recognised qualification- NEBOSH, CMSE, Functional Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
  • Previous working knowledge of Machinery Directive and/or Provision& Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).
