Astute's Nuclear team is exclusively partnered with a specialist lifting and handling equipment business, acting as the principal contractor on Hinkley Point C. We are currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of on-site activities. This role offers a competitive salary depending on experience, up to £70,000, and provides the opportunity to work on one of the UK's most prestigious nuclear infrastructure projects. We are looking for candidates with more than 5 years' relevant experience and a degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying. Responsibilities and duties of the Quantity Surveyor role include: Producing and maintaining cost reports, budgets, and forecasts to support commercial decision-making. Preparing and assessing variations, claims, and change orders, ensuring contractual compliance. Conducting monthly valuations, interim payments, and financial reconciliations. Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and project managers to monitor progress, labour, and resource allocation. Supporting risk analysis, forecasting, and project cost reviews. Compiling and analysing commercial data using Excel and internal reporting systems. Mentoring or guiding junior commercial staff where required.
