Strategy is AECOMs Management Consultancy team.  Strategy operates Globally and assists clients to make sense of complexity articulate their challenges and deliver solutions that improve their performance. Our management consultants lead major client engagements providing expert advice and guidance to drive strategic initiatives and deliver measurable value. This role involves working with leaders and Execs to design and oversee the implementation of tailored solutions that deliver desired short and longterm objectives and outcomes.

Additionally as a Management Consultant within the Strategy team you will be leading pieces of work fully accountable for delivering to quality and cost agreements.  Depending on size and scale of the clients ambition you could be the sole lead leading a bigger delivery team or working as part of a larger multiskilled team.

Heres what youll do:

  • Invest time with clients to listen well building longterm client relationships to foster trust understanding their needs and existing operations.
  • Proactively develop a diverse network of contacts establishing partnerships across internal and client teams to create bespoke solutions to industry and client problems.
  • Build strong trusting relationships with relevant stakeholders that enable you to provide expert advice insight and challenge.
  • Plan and deliver strategic change and transformation initiatives working across teams to ensure successful adoption and alignment to achieve desire business or behaviour change outcomes.
  • Monitor progress and adjust approach to meet clients style and needs to ensure success.
  • Produce and present information to the highest quality.

  • A mentor to your colleagues enhancing the wider teams knowledge of delivering major projects and programmes operating in ambiguity and delivering a pace to build a resilient skill base and culture of continuous learning.
  • A proficient internal and external networker identifying and pursuing opportunities for the growth of Strategy.
  • Engage in lifelong learning adapting to emerging trends and technologies to stay at the forefront of industry changes.

Qualifications :

  • Demonstrable experience leading complex programmes and projects at scale and pace within a consultancy or inhouse team.
  • Sector experience in infrastructure specifically Energy Defence Transportation and Water would be desirable.
  • Experience in developing reviewing or delivering Business Cases ensuring alignment with client objectives strategic priorities and valueformoney assessments.
  • Experience working with and interpreting government policies regulatory frameworks and legislation with the ability to incorporate these into project design and strategic recommendations
  • Experience in analysing and mapping strategic core and support processes to support IT system implementation within complex government or defence environments.
