Finatal are partnered with a PE Backed, B2B SaaS Scale-Up(c£3mil ARR) who are looking for a Finance Director to join their growing Senior Leadership Team. With a drive towards Series B and likely to exit following this, the team are energised and need a strong leader to propel them forwards.


Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic planning. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes that drive sustainable growth and profitability. This is a broad, hands on role with a very exciting growth trajectory. The right candidate will have experience as a number one ideally in a SaaS/Scale-Up environment with ability to 'bounce' and lead from both a commercial and financial standpoint.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies to support business objectives and drive long-term value creation.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and operational plans.
  • Establish robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and optimize financial performance.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance on pricing strategies, revenue recognition, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and financial institutions.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.


About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in senior finance roles, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry. Ability to implement and drive SaaS KPI's/metrics.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience managing financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of effectively leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Prior experience working in a private equity-backed environment is a plus.
