If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable – please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.Project Engineer - EnvironmentLocation: Normanton - West YorkshireAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join the Team at Galliford Try to work on high value Yorkshire Water projects.Ideally you will be based in or around Yorkshire and will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team and travel across multiple Sites in the Region.What you will be doing:An opportunity has arisen for a Clean Water biased Project Engineer, experienced at working as a key member of a team successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes predominately to the Water Industry in sewage and clean water. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work alongside the project delivery team to ensure the design, procurement, financial control and site activities are achieved.Outline engineering from inception to completion of schemes utilising in-house resources, site installation and construction personnelDelivery of Clean Water projects from Strategic Trunk Mains, distribution mains down to service transfer projects with associated fittings Meter’s PRV’s using a variety of installation methods. Early site investigation works in coordination with the client, design, and project teamProduction and review of health and safety documentation (risk assessments & method statements / Project management plans). Procurement of materialsAttend/undertake factory, site and works testing, commissioning and client trainingAttendance and input into internal and client design reviewsWorking closely with the design team to gather all required information, participate in regular design reviews and Hazard Studies to develop the best solutionInvolvement with cost to complete / budget reviews with the project delivery teamsNegotiating with suppliers and subcontractorsInvolvement with preparation of subcontract ordersAssistance with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation worksLiaison with site manager and site teams to ensure work is completed to programme, budget and qualityDeveloping Inspection and Test Plans and ensuring they are completed as the scheme progressesInnovation whilst maintaining compliance to current standardsPreparation & management of project programmesProactive approach to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety performanceTo work with the team to develop and close out all contract documentation such as, “As built” drawings, Commissioning Manuals and Operation and Maintenance ManualsAbout You:An industry applicable electrical ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalentProven experience within the Water IndustryCommercial and contractual awarenessWorking knowledge of Microsoft packages including ProjectDesire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and cultureTrustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where required Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levelsExcellent communication skills (email/phone/face to face)Commitment to the provision of excellent customer serviceProven influencing and negotiation skills to both internal and external stakeholders Experience of leading and managing functions where requiredWhat We Can Offer in Return:With an impressive order book of over £4.1 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
