As a Junior Cloud DevOps Engineer youll be part of a collaborative environment focused on learning and growth helping to strengthen the security of AVEVAs cloud solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has recently completed a relevant degree or has started their career and is looking to specialise in cloud security.Key responsibilitiesLearn and apply cloud security principles across AWS and Azure environmentsHelp maintain secure cloud configurations using codeCollaborate with development teams to create secure scalable cloud solutionsContribute to best-practice templates and processesRespond to security incidents and support continuous improvement initiativesGain hands-on experience with RADIS AVEVAs internal security and compliance frameworkYou may occasionally be asked to support out-of-hours work or participate in an on-call rota shared across the global team.Essential requirementsEducation & Experience:A degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity or a related fieldUp to 2 years of experience in a technical or security-related role (internships count)A strong interest in cloud technologies and securityTechnical Skills (You dont need all of thesejust a willingness to learn):Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)Exposure to web development or scripting (e.g. Python PowerShell Bash)Familiarity with security concepts like authentication APIs or network protocolsInterest in Infrastructure as Code DevOps or automation toolsSoft Skills:Clear communication written and verbalCuriosity and a proactive approach to learningAttention to detail and a collaborative mindsetDesired skills and competenciesCertifications in AWS or AzureAwareness of security frameworks like ISO27001R&D at AVEVAOur global team of 2000 developers work on an incredibly diverse portfolio of over 75 industrial automation and engineering products which cover everything from data management to 3D design.
