Senior AWS Platform Engineer (TypeScript / Serverless) - Leading / expanding organisation


Exciting Senior AWS Engineer opportunity with industry leading and expanding organisation. My client is looking for a Senior AWS Engineer with a expertise in TypeScript, Serverless AWS and related technologies to lead in the build, delivery, security and management of AWS development platforms.

The successful individual will be involved in a wide range of group wide initiatives and deliveries.


Salary: £70-75k (based on experience) + bonus + car allowance

Location: home-based


Key responsibilities:

  • Building, securing, and monitoring AWS environments
  • Building internal platforms using AWS, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Datadog and Dynatrace
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code with AWS CDK and Terraform
  • Deploy, configure, and manage a range of AWS services including: EC2; RDS; S3; and Lambda
  • Designing and implementing AWS based CI/CD Pipelines
  • Utilising AWS Serverless technologies with cloud based architecture
  • Technically leading / mentoring Engineers within the team


Key skills and experience:

  • Experience with TypeScript (or similar)
  • Experience in delivering enterprise cloud solutions on AWS using CDK & Terraform
  • Setting up and securing AWS environments as a platform
  • Expertise with infrastructure as code including CloudFormation, CDK and Terraform
  • Knowledgeable across a wide range of AWS products and Services
  • Deep understanding of AWS Serverless technologies
  • Creating comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configs, and processes
  • Working with / supporting Development Teams (Agile)
  • AWS certifications (Desirable)
