This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting young children in a nurturing educational environment. You will work alongside qualified Early Years Educators supporting the planning and delivery of purposeful play and helping to ensure each childs welfare development and learning.You will play a key role in supporting childrens early development contributing to a positive and safe environment and upholding our schools values of love peace and harmony.Main DutiesPromote the welfare and safety of children and report any safeguarding concerns to the designated person.Support the planning and delivery of purposeful play activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).Work collaboratively with parents colleagues and external agencies to meet individual childrens needs.Support childrens understanding of healthy life choices through engaging and age-appropriate activities.Seek out continuous professional development throughout the apprenticeship programme.Use effective communication and knowledge of child development to engage with children including those needing additional support.Support children through transitions such as starting school or the arrival of a new sibling.Participate in respectful care routines such as feeding nappy changing and dental care.Meet deadlines set by the training provider and work closely with your mentor to develop your skills knowledge and behaviours.Support childrens numeracy literacy and language development through a range of purposeful play activities.The CandidateDesired Skills & ExperienceGCSE Grades 49 (A*C) or equivalent in English and Maths.Good communication skills with the ability to engage positively with young children.Understanding of child development or a strong interest in early years education.Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.Strong organisational skills and willingness to learn.Personal QualitiesCompassionate patient and enthusiastic about supporting children.Self-motivated with a positive attitude.Able to take direction and use initiative when appropriate.Committed to safeguarding confidentiality and professional conduct.Reliable responsible and eager to develop professionally.Training and DevelopmentAs an apprentice you will be supported through both on-the-job learning and formal training as part of your Level 3 Early Years Educator programme. This will include:Study towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualificationOn-the-job training and mentoring from experienced Early Years practitionersRegular review meetings to track progress and developmentOpportunities to gain skills in planning observation and assessment within EYFSWhat training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship standard qualification.What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.Pre-employment checks. Please be aware that upon a successful offer of employment the company completes digitalised right-to-work checks and DBS applications via an external provider - Matrix Screening.
