Help strengthen our Configuration Pension Implementation Team, we are currently looking for a Pension Consultant to join our homebased team.The Configuration Team sit within our Implementation Department whose responsibility it is to implement first class pension administration solutions for our new and existing clients. Our span of projects can range from large blue chip strategic transformational deliveries through to small bespoke client solutions. Working closely with other stakeholders our activities and skills are wide and varied.We are now looking for an Implementation Consultant to join our team to ensure all aspects of a transition and change project are delivered on time and to a high standard within a controlled project environment.What you’ll be doing:Gathering and interpreting client requirements and processes, and translating these into system solutionsManaging system configuration activities and qualityDelivering calculation automationLeading client implementation projectsFacilitating internal and external system training, and provide appropriate documentationTroubleshooting and resolving client queries and issuesMentoring and coaching Implementation AnalystsConducting system configuration and testing quality control activitiesSupporting the technical development of our technology platforms through participation in analysis and design, and specification production for new and/or enhanced developmentsUndertaking system configuration and checkingUndertaking data analysis activities and checkingUndertaking project management activities including risk and issue identification and mitigationWhat we’re looking for:Able to lead on projects and experience of managing/mentoring a teamUK Pension background: detailed understanding and ability to explain the difference between DB, DC, CARE and Annuities, how they are administered and a full understanding of system & process implicationsIs able to explain:- pension member records and their set up- the relationships between members, Trustees, schemes, actuaries, funds and investments- different types of Pension Schemes- different types of member status' and applicable calculations for each-Describe the regulatory bodies and their roles in this sector-Demonstrate knowledge of system set up and use of parametersAble to demonstrate capability and knowledge of pension/employee benefit technology platformsStrong MS Excel skills, able to draft an automated excel calculator with basic formula; ability to use filters, sorting, pivot tables (rows, columns, grouping, filters and totalling), lookups, control totals, IF and nested IF statements and formatting of cells to specific guidelinesGood MS AccessAbility to understand requirements and able to produce specificationsAbout Capita Pensions Solutions:Capita Pension Solutions is one of the UK’s leading pension firms.
