A Lead Java Developer is required to join a leading provider of financial technology solutions, specializing in lending and Asset Finance.

Job Description:

As a Lead Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our suite of Java-based lending software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scaleable, and reliable software that meets the evolving needs of our clients in the financial sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, along with expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and financial technologies. You will also have responsibilities for coaching and mentoring more junior engineers in the team, be involved in code-reviews and have responsibilities for projects.


Lead Java Developer Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Java development, with a focus on enterprise-level applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language and related technologies (Spring, Hibernate, Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data
  • Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with financial technologies and lending software solutions is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.



Responsibilities:


Design, develop, and maintain complex Java applications for lending and Asset Finance solutions.

Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.

Implement best practices for software development, including coding standards, code reviews, and unit testing.

Optimize application performance and scalability through efficient code and system design.

Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in financial technology (Fin-Tech) to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
