Contracts Manager / Construction Manager

My client is an ambitious and growing construction company specialising in high-end residential projects - new build, refurbishments, extensions. As they continue to expand their business, they are seeking a highly motivated Contracts Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in driving their success.

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage project teams, ensure timely delivery, maintain budgets, and uphold the company's high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the construction delivery process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Build, lead, and motivate project teams, including recruiting staff and subcontractors.
  • Oversee project managers and provide guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and red flags in projects, implementing solutions as needed.
  • Contribute to the company's growth by increasing the number of projects that can be delivered simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Managing Director, senior architect, and clients, to ensure the success of the construction department.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to optimise efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing construction projects and teams, preferably in the high-end residential sector.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and solve problems.
  • High energy and a passion for contributing to the company's growth and success.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

What They Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £90-100k and benefits package.
  • The opportunity to work on exciting, high-profile projects.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Opportunities for career growth and advancement within a growing company.
  • The chance to make a significant impact on the company's success.

My client is looking for a driven, results-oriented professional with a passion for construction and a desire to contribute to their company's growth.
