Driver's Mate

Our client is a market-leading joinery specialist who creates bespoke cabinetry, furniture and premium bespoke kitchens. They have an excellent opportunity for a Driver's Mate to join their growing team. They manufacture everything in-house at their workshops. This role will be based in Amersham.

The Drive’s Mate role will be assisting the Driver with all aspects of deliveries. As a representative of the company the successful candidate will need good communication skills and be well presented.

Key tasks

  • Assisting the Driver in all delivery activities
  • Good spoken English - confident in communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Help the team in wrapping and packing goods ready for delivery
  • Loading and unloading the delivery van
  • Assisting the installation team on site where necessary

Requirements

  • No experience needed – training will be provided
  • Good level of English
  • Strong, fit and hard working
  • Reliable
  • Good ‘can do’ attitude
  • Own transport to get to work
  • Full English Driver’s license (not essential)
  • Eligible to work in UK
  • Flexible with working day hours – necessary for earlier starts and late finishes when required

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8-hour day (7:30 am – 4:00 pm)

Overtime (not guaranteed but often available)
