We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Support Officer.Job DescriptionAs a Student Support Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our educational institution. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to our student support department. Your attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and strong communication abilities will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our administrative processes.To be a successful as a SS administrator, you should be committed to facilitating smooth, efficient office operations by planning carefully, anticipating needs, and providing responsive, reliable assistance. You should be adaptable, proactive, supportive, and detail-orientedResponsibilitiesUse a range of software, including email, spreadsheets and databases, to ensure the efficient running of the office.Support the onboarding process of new students by assisting with enrolment procedures, sending out timetables, as well as assisting returning students.Deal with part-time students’ timetables and assigning groups/ILPs.Maintain accurate student records and databases, ensuring data confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.Inductions coordination, including attendance monitoring.Assist colleagues whenever necessary.Handle general administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and managing office supplies.Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination of administrative tasks.Undertake any other administrative duties as required by the management team.Attend Student Voice Panel, SEAG (Student Experience Advisory Group) meetings when required to conduct meeting minuets and appropriate action items.To help facilitate Student Survey data and interpret any results from within the survey when required.Education and QualificationsBachelor’s degree from a recognised universityExperience & KnowledgeEssential:Ability to prioritise competing deadlines and workloads, while maintaining a high level of accuracyHighly developed oral and written communication skillsAbility to work on own initiative, demonstrating a positive approach to problem solving.Willingness to learn and develop and contribute to the wider activities of Student Support and of the school.Computing skills and qualifications, including those related to word processing, spreadsheets, and presentationsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.Capacity to assess situations and provide practical solutions.Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and student needs.Proficiency in using IT technology to record and search student data base.BenefitsAnnual leave (5.6 weeks) + bank holidays.Workplace pension scheme.Company Sick Policy (from January 2025).Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) (until December 2024).Statutory maternity/paternity pays.Career development opportunitiesTraining and self-development opportunities.Gym membership discountsRetail discount schemesCinema discountsGrocery discountsCycle to workInvesting and savings opportunitiesFinancial wellbeing – personal debt advise.Financial wellbeing educationMy Mind Pal (mental fitness)
