This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and forward-thinking service where your expertise will help shape the lives of children and families across the county.This is a specialist role within the Duty and Assessment Team responsible for a specialist area of work: completing statutory assessments of need for children with disabilities parent/carer assessments and the review of care packages and direct payment reviews.About the RoleAs a Social Worker in our Duty and Assessment Teams you will:Undertake statutory needs assessments for children with disabilities.Complete parent/carer assessments.Review and monitor direct payment packages and care packages.Manage a varied caseload ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people.Work collaboratively with families carers and partner agencies to provide the right support at the right time.Participate in the teams duty rota and contribute to the development of social work students.You will play a key role in safeguarding children promoting their welfare and ensuring their voices are heard throughout the assessment and planning process.What Were Looking ForQualified Social Worker (CQSW DipSW Degree in Social Work or equivalent).Registered with Social Work England.At least 3 years post-qualification experience working with children with disabilities and their families.Strong assessment communication and partnership working skills.Commitment to equality diversity and continuous professional development.Ability to travel across Lancashire (essential car user post).Why Join UsBenefits:Theres fabulous flexibility and the opportunity to create the work life balance youll love; 26 days annual leave rising to 32 days with tenure plus 10 statutory/bank holidays and an additional 20 days that can be purchased too.
