I'm partnered with an exciting mission-driven organisation who pride themselves on delivering comprehensive consumer and facilities services across a nationally spread industry. Their end-to-end solutions are designed to streamline operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive business growth. As they continue to expand, they are seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer to join their dynamic team.


As a Senior Python Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining their core software infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, exposure to Flask and have experience with GCP to help build scalable systems with a passion for innovation.


Responsibilities of a Senior Python Engineer:


  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient Python-based applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.


Required and desired experience:


  • 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Proven experience with Django, Flask, or other Python web frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (ideally GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
