Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Landscaping /Ground Manaintance Head of Operations to join our team at the UK's market leading FM company. Reporting to the UK Director you will lead your business unit, ensuring that it delivers the exceptional everyday service.


What you will do:

Main duties and responsibilities for this role, Include overseeing our operating regions and ensuring that our grounds maintenance, winter services, and variable works are all running smoothly. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading by example and driving excellence in everything we do. Your key responsibilities will include improving efficiency, maximising performance, and developing a robust business strategy that drives growth and profitability. You'll also focus on building strong relationships with our customers, introducing innovative practices, and prioritising QHSE and people management.


What we are looking for:

As a Head of Operations you will have prior experience in a Grounds maintenance or Landscaping environment. The successful candidate you'll need to have a strong background in managing commercial operations, budgeting and forecasting, as well as experience in ensuring our company's health, safety, and environmental responsibilities are met. You'll also have a track record of successful people management and building strong customer relationships. Additionally, you'll need to be familiar with operational IT systems and be comfortable with frequent travel across the North of the UK (and occasionally to other parts of the country) to support our business needs.
