Welder Fabricator Letchworth Up to £20.50 an hour Full Time Permanent Role Sheet Metal Welder/ Fabricator required for a busy sheet metal engineering workshop.About the Company:Our Client based company specialising in Prototypes & Low Volume Production Sheet Metal Pressings, Stampings and Fabrication to the Highest Quality, working in many different sectors. Customers include Ford motors, Lockheed Martin, Warner brothers and McLaren.ROLE:Welder Fabricator candidates must be able to read engineering drawings, understand tolerances / bend allowances / being experienced in / fabrication and sheet-metal machinery.Duties include Welding and fabrication in stainless steel, Aluminium, and mild steel material 1.0mm - 12mm thickness including pipework.The Ability to make assembly weld fixtures.MIG welding both sub and main assemblies either on a fabrication JIG or freehand.Sanding\Grinding components or assemblies to achieve the stated dimensions and finish. Requirements:The role requires manual lifting so applicants should be fit and able.Actively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement.Significant experience of thin gauge TIG & MIG weldingSheet Metal Fabrication experienceBe able to fabricate Stainless steel, Aluminium and Mild steel.The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.City & Guilds Qualifications in welding and fabrication / Apprentice in Engineering would be an advantage.
