This is a pivotal leadership role where your decisions will directly impact national defence capabilities operational excellence and long-term business success.Day-to-day youll be required to:Lead commercial strategy and operations for the West Midlands production siteDrive governance and provide expert guidance across contract activitiesNegotiate with customers suppliers and partners to secure optimal outcomesDevelop and manage pre-contractual agreements and commercial documentationCollaborate with leadership to support bids tenders and growth initiativesThis role is full time 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 - 3 days in the office/onsite and 1 -2 days working from home.Essential experience of the Senior Commercial Manager:Demonstrating a strong track record in contract negotiation and commercial governanceApplying legal frameworks and principles to complex commercial environmentsInfluencing senior stakeholders with confidence and credibilityManaging full contract lifecycles in multi-disciplinary settingsInterpreting financial data and driving cash control and billing performanceQualifications for the Senior Commercial Manager:Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a commercial disciplineExperience in defence engineering or vehicle manufacturing sectors is preferredSecurity ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
