Launceston, United Kingdom Resonance Limited Full time

About Resonance

Resonance is an impact property fund manager transforming the relationship between private investment and social good. To help us continue this journey, we are looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join our growing friendly team. In this role, you will help us build on our communications success to date, telling our inspiring story to Investors, Social Enterprises, Industry, and Peers.

Our Communications team is based at HQ in Launceston, Cornwall, and we ideally need the successful applicant to work with the team at this location at least 2 days per week. Additional flexibility may be offered if the candidate lives further afield (ideally based in the South West of the UK though).

About the Senior Communications Manager Role

The Senior Communications Manager is an important role; you’ll play a key part in communicating our mission of connecting capital with social enterprise. The role operates across our entire business, helping to raise our profile through PR and Policy, building relationships and influencing key stakeholders such as Media, Government, Industry, Social Enterprise, and Investment and Pension Networks.

The Senior Communications Manager will:

  • Lead the marketing for our Impact Labs division and support our Impact Reporting for our social impact investment funds.
  • Be our go-to expert and spokesperson on challenges impacting Affordable Housing & Homelessness in the UK, including Housing Allowances.
  • Co-ordinate and commission research, identifying how we position ourselves and influence Government and Local Policy across the UK.
  • Create and publish thought leadership that builds on our reputation as an expert in the sector and as a leader in social impact investment both in the UK and internationally.
  • Raise our profile and co-ordinate our approach with organisations such as B Corp, Impact Europe, Responsible Finance, etc.
  • Lead on our Communications for our Net Zero ambitions and the Cost of Living challenge for our stakeholders such as Tenants and Social Enterprises.
  • Take a hands-on approach with writing and inputting into Content such as Blogs, Social Media Posts, Press Releases, etc.
  • Support the development of the overall marketing strategy for Resonance.

What experience you’ll need to apply?

  • Proven track record in a Senior Communications Manager role or similar.
  • Significant Marketing, PR, and Policy experience gained within either the housing, financial services, investment, or social enterprise sectors.
  • Detailed understanding and experience in both online and offline Communications.
  • Experience in analysing data and using this to develop communication plans.
  • Ability to understand complex legislation and research from various sources, turning this into a company position which you then successfully articulate.
  • Excellent authoring skills, making well-researched and highly technical content relevant and easy to understand for different audiences.
  • Enjoy rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in – do whatever it takes to get the job done, supporting others in the team; we are only a small team and therefore everyone pitches in.

What you’ll get in return?

  • Work for an innovative growing business with a strong social purpose and lots of variety.
  • Competitive remuneration package up to £52,000 depending on experience.
  • 9-day working fortnight.
  • Flexible working environment and a committed team to become part of.
  • Opportunity to work in a business that is pioneering and changing the face of investment in the UK.
  • Resonance is a B Corp and a growing company that values teamwork and work-life balance.

What next?

We have chosen to work with our friends at ADLIB who are managing the recruitment process for Resonance. As a fellow B Corp, they are well-versed in attracting the best candidates that have the right skills and experience combined with the desire to work for a business driven by purpose and a want to make a positive impact on society and the planet.
